No11 ARCHIMIDOUS LIMASSOL

First built in the 1930’s for residential use, No 11 is now transformed by MOIRE into a contemporary HQ for its new owners. The conversion from residential use to office use, retains as much of the original Art Deco features of the building, including the eclectic façade. Adding to the quality of the streetscape, MOIRE’s design was sympathetic to the original heritage of the site, retaining and protecting the original aesthetic whilst accentuating the architecture with state-of-the-art industrial look aluminium windows, new entrance canopy and lettering inspired by the 30’s heritage of the building, all of which respond to the diverse Architecture of Archimidous street, which includes modern, art deco and mid-century buildings.

Influenced by the buildings 1930’s history, MOIRE’s vision referenced vintage inspired design, with a nod to the decade through a range of art 

deco inspired bespoke furniture and materials. Internally, the once residential space is now transformed to a Grade A premium workspace to serve as the HQ of the two companies. The reception area design, inspired by high-end boutique hotels, features premium finishes and materiality, with a combination of retained original and new terrazzo flooring, dark   timber, marble, and brass accents.  Atmospheric lighting further supports the hospitality inspired space, which is more akin to a private members club than a traditional corporate workspace. The building has various rooms and executive offices that branch out of the reception area, which creates a forward-thinking, flexible workspace experience that puts health and wellbeing at the core of the building’s transformation.

Throughout the project, planting has been introduced to provide visual access to nature. All areas have access to natural ventilation and light, whilst innovative building technology provides state of the art IT, sound, and ventilation systems.The external areas have been reconfigured to provide additional parking for the building as well as external meeting room and event spaces. The newly finished No 11, reflects the evolving working culture with space for collaboration, wellness, and client-facing interaction and aims to create a new standard for boutique office buildings in Cyprus.
