VILLA TOSCANA LATSIA

Villa Toscana sits proudly on a hill with picturesque views of the rolling countryside in Nicosia’s southern suburb of Latsia. The villa, with a footprint of 550 square meters, sits on a 3,000 square meter landscape alongside a pool house with ancillary spaces, an outbuilding, which serves as staff quarters, and covered terraces.

 

The villa, part existing and part new build, is fully emerged into its natural habitat and reinvents the traditional Tuscan villa style with a contemporary twist. Both the building form and the material palette are rooted in nature, with gently flowing lines emerging from the ground and natural materials expressed throughout. The design continues seamlessly from the exterior to the interior creating a rich continuity of materials, textures and finishes. The use of stone cladding mixed with lime wash paint, the chestnut pergolas and roof projections with aged Portuguese roof tiles accentuate the character of the building.

Internally, the ground floor spaces connect through various arches and each area compliments the other. All entertaining and play areas are located on this floor including the gym, the family room and the piano room. The bespoke kitchen designed by MOIRE is a combination of modern and traditional style with the aim of capturing the essence of the Villa - tranquil, spacious to accommodate a large family and guests, surrounded by natural materials and lush green external spaces which perfectly balances the different functions of this house. Large industrial style doors and the use of similar materials facilitate the inside outside living.

The upper floors host the private areas of the villa, including the 4 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes, and the attic office which leads to a 100 square meters external roof terrace with almost 360 degrees views of the area.

Pockets dedicated to al-fresco dining and lounging will surround the home between swimming pools and landscape gardens.
