Beyond Bricks and Mortar

Mike was interviewed by Gold Business Magazine. He talked about his experience in designing high-end residential and workplace projects and his love for everything Art Deco.

In the interview, Mike Sirivianos reflects on his London experience and the decision to establish StudioMoiré in Cyprus and Mykonos. He describes design as an inside-out process: understanding how people use a space, then allowing its form, materials and atmosphere to develop in response to that purpose and its surroundings.

Art Deco is a recurring influence, extending beyond building form to lighting, furniture and art. Mike also discusses sustainability, biophilia and wellbeing, including natural light, access to outdoor space, inclusive design and responsible material choices. The conversation connects his workplace experience with residential and hospitality projects, offering a snapshot of the practice’s beginnings in January 2021.
